The owners of this residence in The Sea Ranch, which was originally built in 1972, wanted to remodel and add to their existing house. This project included adding a small home office to their house, enlarging the deck to accommodate a hot tub, and make the deck railing more transparent to allow for better views of the ocean. The addition is attached to the existing storage area, and the shape, materials, and detailing relate to the existing house. The addition takes advantage of the southern exposure and the view of a sloping meadow and the trees beyond. |
