SAN JOSE RESIDENCE
This is a 450 square foot addition to, and extensive remodel of, an existing 1000 square foot house in the Naglee Park historic district of San Jose. The neighborhood of modest homes is made up of small lots which are tightly packed together.
The professional couple without children wanted to add a master bedroom, bathroom and completely remodel this small house to allow them to stay in the neighborhood that they liked. They also liked the Victorian cottage style of the house and wanted to keep it in the same character. At the conclusion of the construction they send as a note which read:
"Dear Tomas, thank you for designing such a beautiful home for us. We truly love it and it is a pleasure to come home to each day."
