This house was designed by the late Barry Elbasani, FAIA, for himself and his family. The house takes advantage of its bluff site that contains east and south facing trees, including a mass of hedgerow cypresses, which complement the form of the building.
The simplicity of form is retained with some added articulation and recessed windows on the west and north elevation. The house design responses positively to The Sea Ranch microclimate and takes full advantage of opportunities for outdoor living interaction.
We were invited by the design architect to become the architect of record largely due to our experience with design and construction at The Sea Ranch.
The house is presently in construction and is scheduled for completion in 2012.
