UNITARIAN UNIVERSALIST FELLOWSHIP CHURCH
The Unitarian Universalist Church of Berkeley is a landmark Wurster, Bernardi & Emmons building with heavy timber trusses, located on several acres of hillside with a view of the Bay. Frank, Goring & Straja Architects developed a master plan to address issues of lighting, usability, maintenance and expansion. We recommended bringing light into the Social Hall with a wall of glazing to the north, add classrooms and meeting rooms creating a new courtyard that opens to the view. The Church is currently in the fundraising stage of the project.
