The
Cardiac Rehabilitation Clinic is housed in an off campus structure
one block from the main hospital. The building, constructed originally
as a mortuary, has gone through several changes in use over the
last 25 years. The project was developed to better serve the needs
of the cardiac clinic, prenatal education classes, as well as
another Alta Bates clinic in an adjacent part of the building.
The staff and clients asked that we open the ceiling as part of
the redesign. By doing so, we took advantage of the opportunity
to define a new clinic entry area by introducing a colorful vestibule
that connects two of the different therapy spaces to the clinic
entry and circulation spine |
